Gasp Black Leather

My son has had a different colour of these shoes for many years, wearing them almost daily for work during the last 8 months. He decided to get these black ones due to the comfort and durability he had previously experienced. Unfortunately the new pair have not lasted as long and a hole is already forming in the sole. Picture does not show full extent of problem.

I bought these in brown approx 6 months ago. I liked them so much and they were very comfortable. They were my daily work shoes, and I wore them for approx. 3 months. Sadly, as per the other 1-star review, the leather in the heel split at the sole. I tried to get them fixed however it was not worth the cost. The leather is thin in areas on the shoe, and I think that there is a flaw in the way in which this shoe has been designed. The heel leather will compact at the sole as you walk, and the leather is thin in this area. The movement I think makes it split. These are great shoes that I hoped would last for a long time, but sadly the way these have been designed and the quality of the leather. I doubt you'll get 6 months out of them. I barely got 3 months of daily wearing out of them.
