Comfortable&beautiful but Velcro fastener an issue

Exactly as pictured and beautiful, comfortable fit like all I Love Billy shoes I’ve worn. The issue is the fastener or the shoe- for some reason they went with Velcro and it’s awful. I only tried them for a short time so far but I moved too fast once and the Velcro came popping off quite easily. I want to take them dancing but I fear they won’t stay on properly and my foot would slip out without the strap. I’m probably going to have to add my own click button or fastener somehow to make them useable for why I bought them, but otherwise they are a gorgeous shoe.
